Join the Town of Howey-in-the-Hills by participating in the Lake County Waterways Cleanup on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 9 AM to 1 PM at Griffin Park (105 S. Lakeshore Blvd, Howey-in-the-Hills, FL 34737) and the Griffin Park Boat Ramp! This community event focuses on cleaning the Harris Chain of Lakes, preserving our beautiful local waterways, and promoting environmental stewardship. Volunteers with boats are needed to navigate the lakes and collect trash and debris, while volunteers on foot or in cars can assist by cleaning up the shorelines and boat ramps at Griffin Park.
This is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the environment, meet fellow community members, and make a positive impact. Whether you're out on the water or helping from the shore, every bit of effort counts. We encourage all residents to come out and participate in this important event. Help us keep our lakes and parks pristine!
