The Town of Howey-in-the-Hills is excited to invite residents and visitors to a special Centennial Founder's Day Celebration, marking 100 years since the town’s founding in 1925. This milestone event honors the vision of William John Howey, the town’s founder, whose leadership and entrepreneurial spirit laid the foundation for the thriving community we cherish today.

Founded in 1925 by William John Howey, the town was established as part of his vision to create a successful citrus-growing community. His innovative approach to agriculture and town planning attracted settlers to the area, shaping Howey-in-the-Hills into the picturesque and welcoming town it is today.
