Town Offices Closed - Fourth of July
All Town Offices, to include Town Hall and the Library will be closed on Monday 7/4/2022 in observance of the Fourth of July Holiday.
- There will be no pick of trash, yard waste, or bulk items on Monday 7/4/2022.
- The next pickup of trash, yard waste, and bulk items will occur on Thursday 7/7/2022.
- Wednesday's recycling pickup will occur as scheduled.
- For residents who can’t wait for garbage pick-up to occur after a holiday, a household may opt to bring garbage to the Lake County Landfill located in Tavares on County Road 561 physical address 13130 County Landfill Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
- Disposal of household trash is FREE for any Town of Howey-in-the-Hills resident with a valid ID. Call ahead for hours of operation at 352-343-3776 (this is not a town facility, it is operated by Lake County).
