SOLID WASTE COLLECTION (Updated 08/29/2023 at 8am)

GFL, the Town's solid waste collection provider, will not be running any routes on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. This will affect the Town's recycling collection. The collection of recycling will resume the following week. 

Additional collection cancelations are likely to follow, and will be updated here when that information is available.

 

TOWN CLOSURES

Town Hall Office will be closing Tuesday, Aug. 29th at 3PM and will remain closed all day on Wednesday Aug. 30th.

Marianne Beck Memorial Library will be closing Tuesday, Aug. 29th at 3PM and will remain closed all day on Wednesday Aug. 30th.

Additional office closures are likely to follow, and will be updated here when that information is available.

 

LAKE COUNTY SANDBAG LOCATIONS (updated 8/29/2023 at 8am)

Sandbags are available at seven Lake County locations beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 28. Residents must bring their own shovels and are limited to 10 bags of sand per household. Residents should bring their own shovels and are responsible for filling their own bags. Sandbags will only be offered before the storm – no sandbags will be dispensed on Tuesday, August 29 till 5:00 PM or until storm conditions begin

LAKE COUNTY EMERGENCY SHELTERS

Two emergency shelters will open for residents on Tuesday, August 29. The shelters will open to the public at 3:00 p.m. and both locations special needs shelters and pet friendly. The locations of the shelters are:
